Your User Account
Each office employee at Scott Park Group is given a username and asked to choose a secure password to log into the network. This username and password grants access to the company intranet, Your personal One-Drive, Teams and E-mail. Your username should be in the format yourname@mycompany.com.au. You will need to register your account for Multi-Factor Authentication.
Please do not
• Disclose your password to anyone, including your colleagues.
• Use the same password outside of SPG related services.
• Transmit your password to anyone (including yourself) using Email.
Multi-Factor Authentication
MFA is a system that helps to prevent other users from accessing your Account. You register a Device (mobile number for SMS, smartphone app, desk phone, office PC) as a method of confirming your sign-ins. Then you use your registered device to approve each time you sign into a new device.
You will be prompted to enroll in MFA shortly after logging on to your office computer or into any of your SPG related services for the first time. Please follow the instructions provided on screen and contact the Support Team if you run into any challenges.
SPG recommends the use of the Microsoft Authenticator app, available from the App Store or Play Store. Microsoft Authenticator app is also widely accepted for other MFA services for your private email accounts etc.
Your Password
Your password was randomly generated and supplied to you on your first day. We strongly encourage you to change/reset your password at your earliest convenience.
Changing Your Password
Your password must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 8 characters long
- Must not contain three or more consecutive characters that are in your username
- Must include three of the following: Uppercase, Lowercase, Numbers or Symbols
- Cannot be the same as your previous passwords.
- Long passwords are more secure.
- Try using three easy to remember words, with some capital letters and special
- characters.
- Think of your password as 4 things you remember instead of a series of letters.
Resetting your password
To change your password, log on to your office computer and press CTRL-ALT-DEL. If you are working remotely, use CTRL-ALT-END to avoid triggering password management on your home PC.
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset your password online. Try to Sign in to Office.com with your Work Email address - after verifying your identity, you can follow the instructions to reset your password.
